The Basics

What it is

Sea buckthorn oil is pressed from the bright orange berries of a hardy Eurasian shrub. The fruit oil is famously one of very few plant sources of omega-7 (palmitoleic acid), and it's intensely rich in carotenoids and vitamins.

That makeup gives it a strong regenerating, protective reputation for dry, mature and stressed skin. Its deep colour can temporarily tint skin, so it's almost always used in small, well-diluted amounts.

In Our Formulations

How we use it

Sea buckthorn is a potent, vivid active — we use it in small, well-diluted amounts where a blend wants its omega-7 and antioxidant power.

Because its deep colour can tint skin, a little is layered into treatment blends rather than used as a base.
