What it is

Coconut oil is pressed from the dried or fresh flesh (copra) of the coconut. It's unusually high in saturated fatty acids — especially lauric acid — which is why it's solid at room temperature and melts the moment it touches warm skin.

It sinks into the surface to leave skin and hair feeling smooth and cushioned, with a naturally clean character. Because it's rich and occlusive, it shines in balms, masks and hair treatments more than on acne-prone facial skin.
